The Power of One #WhyWeMarch

 

January 27, thousands and thousands of pro-lifers from all the U.S. gathered in Washington D.C. to march, expressing their will to fight for the life of the unborn babies and their mothers.

As always, for me is a wonderful moment because I can take hope watching lot of people willing to witness their will to workto end abortion, and building a culture of life.

This  time, was also better for two reasons: 1) after 8 years in the White House there is a pro-life president, Mr. Donald J. Trump and 2) for the first time in the history of the March the vice-president of the U.S., Mr. Mike Pence, spoke in person.

I really love how, in the U.S., the battle for life started one year after the legalization of abortion which happened in 1973 with the Roe v. Wade and Doe v. Bolton Supreme Court sentences. They wasted no time and they are an example for all the pro-lifers around the world!

The theme chosen for the 2017 march is “The Power of One” and  is a reminder that each and every person can make a difference in the battle for life, doing something to change hearts and minds, and working to build a culture that defend life, from conception to natural death.

There is another important aspect underlined during this occasion and it’s the witness of post-abortion women and men that courageously speak against abortions!
